Elisabeth Moss is expecting her first child.
The baby announcement, which she shared on "Jimmy Kimmel Live!" Tuesday night, after the late-night host asked a surprising question.
"Are you pregnant or just an incredibly committed method actor?" host Jimmy Kimmel joked with "The Handmaid's Tale" actress, 41.
"A little bit of both," she responded with a laugh while debuting her baby bump.
"I've been really lucky. It's been going really well," Moss said.
The intensely private star first rose to mainstream fame on the beloved AMC period drama, "Mad Men," before garnering a Golden Globe award for her performance in the 2013 mysterious BBC miniseries "Top of The Lake." She cemented her status as one of Hollywood's leading actresses in Hulu's dystopian hit series, "The Handmaid's Tale," which debuted in 2017.
While Moss remains mum about her personal life, she was previously married to comedian Fred Armisen before the pair divorced in 2011. As Moss expects her first child, Kimmel joked that he has four children plus co-star Guillermo, and "none of them dance cuter than that one, that's for sure," pointing at him.
In terms of advice for the mom-to-be, Kimmel said his wife, the show's executive producer Molly McNearney, got great advice from comedy legend Bill Murray, who told her to bring Christmas lights and candles to the hospital.
"He's right because the lighting is terrible in the room. It's Walmart-style lighting for this blessed event that's going to happen, and you don't want that," Kimmel said.
"I think that’s a really good list, I like that," Moss replied.
Jimmy Kimmel'was very intent on retiring,' but this changed his mind
The baby bump news was a lighter moment for Kimmel among a headline-heavy last few weeks following his recent public feud with NFL quarterback Aaron Rodgers, after first slamming the New York Jets quarterback in 2021 for trying to conceal his vaccination status during the coronavirus pandemic.
The beef between the pair was reignited when Rodgers made comments about court documents associated with the late billionaire and convicted pedophile Jeffrey Epstein on a Jan. 2 episode of "The Pat McAfee Show."

"A lot of people, including Jimmy Kimmel, are really hoping that doesn't come out," Rodgers said before remarking that he would be "popping some sort of bottle," if Kimmel was on the list. Kimmel threatened Rodgers with legal action on X, formally known as Twitter.
"For the record, I've not met, flown with, visited, or had any contact whatsoever with Epstein, nor will you find my name on any 'list' other than the clearly phony nonsense that soft-brained wackos like yourself can't seem to distinguish from reality," the post said. "Your reckless words put my family in danger. Keep it up and we will debate the facts in court."
Kimmel's name was not on the 943-page document that the Southern District of New York unsealed on Jan. 3.
